Ian went to watch the Scottish League Cup final, where his team St Mirren (crap) were playing Glasgow Rangers, one of the powerhouses of Scottish football (not saying much nowadays but yeah).

To compare the gulf in class and history of these two teams, St Mirren have never won this cup. Rangers on the other hand have won it 26 times. St Mirren currently hover one place above relegation while Rangers are sitting pretty at the top, 13 points adrift. The last home game at St Mirren had 3,154 supporters - Rangers had 8 times more spectators then that. This was a case of David Vs. Goliath.

PhantoM told me he was going to be drinking heavily all weekend, and who can blame him? His beloved St Mirren were going to defy all odds and write the fairytale ending and win their first ever League Cup. The toils of a difficult season with some light at the end of it and a complacent Rangers who were walking over everyone, they had nothing to lose and everything to gain.

A tense affair, the game was 0-0 for most of the game. The form book goes out the window in such games and this proved the case, as St Mirren matched Rangers for vast periods of the game.

However, 2 game-changing events occurred, both in the favour of St Mirren. 2 players for Rangers were given red cards, reducing them to 9 men. That's the equivelent of 5v4 in CS, so the different was dramatic. This was St Mirren's for the taking.

Except they couldn't capitalise. In the 86th minute, a 9-man Rangers scored what was inevitably the winning goal. St Mirren fans must have been shocked, devastated, and all that was left was to sulk away home, and worry about that next game in the league.

I was just checking through my XAC screenshots, found my first screenshot which was of a match with DR, somehow I was getting better fps then than I am now :/

I've been getting that recently - noticed that Mumble uses about 10% CPU as soon as I open it.

You going as a TF2 player then? In the DR days I think you went inactive as you were playing that a fair bit.

No, TF2 scene I found to be awesome, as long as you knew the right people, you couldn't get into any good clans unless you knew the right person.

I played 1.6 for a long while, since end of February i've been playing with b0s in CSS, and wonder why I didn't stick with CSS

Yeah, was a good match. I feel like we should have had it - missed out on a couple of 1v1 clutches as T and lost an anti-eco, so naturally feel disappointed about it. They are group favourites in many people's books so can't complain too much.
